It's 5:30 am, let's watch the sunrise - walk to our beachfront, frothy coffees in hand, barefooted with cozy sweaters. It was in these moments, that I knew that this was the exact place I needed to be. I could feel my exhaustion being replaced with rejuvenation - like the soft wind was slowly pulling it out of me. After two (sometimes three) cups of joe, we either headed out for a day of seeing Seabright, or we stayed in, Sean with his book and me with my writing. As much as I truly loved the sights and the people there, it was the tranquility that resonated with me. Knowing our time there would be short, we really invested our attention to the quiet moments of living by sea. A year has passed since we have seen lovely Nova Scotia, but we will return.
In the interest of the tranquility, I realized - with my sandy toes and messy hair bun - a renewed sense of purpose, and community. A passion to bring together a place of inspiration, living a life of discovery, seeking the beauty in the unexpected, eating incredible food and drinking even better red wine. Having homes that are well lived in, designed for us - but not perfect, because what is perfect anyway? Laughing at ourselves, showing our wrinkles, gray hair and living our best lives.
